So, I want to do a 2007 retrospective post, like I did last year. Unfortunately, the holiday season has not been particularly conducive to posting and planning. The majority of my comics are several hours away, and I've been playing catch-up so much this year that I honestly can't recall what comics came out this year, and what ones came out previously. Hell, just last night I read the last twelve issues of "All-New Atom" for the first time, and it was just a few days ago that I actually finished off Busiek's run on "Aquaman: Sword of Atlantis."
So, when I get back to campus in a few days, I think I'll whip up a nice, long, detailed retrospective post on the year that was: 2007. We'll hit the highs and lows, the shiny new and the broke-ass old. And, like everything else I've done this year, it'll be just a bit too late to matter.
See you in 2008!

You know, I really dug the first trade of Busiek's Aquaman run, too bad it doesn't look like DC is going to trade it (and too bad I'm too lazy to track down single issues).
The first trade of AN Atom was OK, but not enough to get me to buy more.
Actually, All-New Atom is quite good. I'd recommend giving the second trade a try, if you get the chance. The Byrne art ought to peter out by the end of that, and the story's pretty interesting.
So I'm not the only one who dug Aquaman: Sword of Atlantis?
It was that first and only version of Aquaman I could get into. Actually, that's a lie. I liked the Justice Aquaman and I didn't particularly like AJ Curry.
But I loved the atmosphere Busiek created. The concept of the undersea kingdoms as a wild, dangerous, magical place made such perfect sense. I was sad to see him leave the title (even though I started reading after he left. I know, I know, it's my fault it got canceled).
